Curation is building.
The feed won. The library lost. Musy is a bet that we can rebuild the library — versioned, forkable, mixed-source — and make it more useful than the feed, for the people who are tired of the feed.

A collection is an artefact, not a stream.
Feeds decay. Collections are edited — with intent, with a manifest, with a history. The unit of Musy is the artefact, never the post.

Sources stay where they live.
Musy mounts YouTube, Spotify, Drive, Dropbox, arXiv and GitHub in place. Nothing is re-uploaded, nothing re-hosted. Last-seen snapshots keep the lights on when the source goes dark.

Provenance over popularity.
Every source on Musy carries who added it, when, from where. Popularity is a byproduct. Origin and lineage are the primary signals.

Forkable by default.
A public collection is a starting point, not a destination. Anyone can fork it and build a neighbour — annotated, extended, disagreed-with. Lineage is preserved.

Built for the slow half of your attention.
Kahneman's System 2. The half that wants to study, to build, to transmit — not the half that wants to scroll. Musy is a quiet room, not a casino.
What Musy is not
Not a social feed.
There is a timeline, but it is not the product. Open the app and you land on your library, not on a queue.
Not a file host.
We do not want to own your bytes. Your YouTube stays on YouTube, your PDF stays in Drive. We mount, index, annotate.
Not an algorithm casino.
No dopamine loops, no dark patterns, no ads. Curation is a slow craft and Musy is tuned for it.
Not a walled garden.
Every collection exports as a JSON manifest plus a folder of originals. You can walk out with everything.
